Pay Attention To The Trees.

Why do most people neglect the thing they need the most? Why do you ignore the thing you subconsciously depend on?

Every day you wake up, brush your teeth, wash your face, take a shower, maybe have breakfast, and start your day. You get in your car and head to work, or maybe decide to run errands, and everything almost feels like it’s moving fast-paced. But have you ever taken the time to slow down and look at the world around you? Wake up, meditate, write down what you are grateful for, or even step outside and take a deep breath of fresh air. To take everything in and see what you already have in your life that’s keeping you alive, that’s keeping you fed, that’s keeping you hydrated.

I feel like the world is so focused on what’s next that it never fully focuses on the present. This morning, I was in meditation, and while doing so, I was remembering the pictures I had taken in late October of the trees. I really don’t know why I take photos of the trees every time I go outside, but for some reason, I always do. I always seem to capture their beauty. The way they’re so tall, and how the light bounces off of them so effortlessly, always mesmerizes me. Then I thought about how we really depend on them, how we really need them to survive, while they are not only beautiful, but they also provide us with clean air. They don’t receive as much attention as they should, even though we need them the most, and the same applies to essentials like water, food, and shelter. It is important to be grateful for the things you have now. Things like this tend to get overlooked or go unnoticed.

You pass them by every day; take some time to stop and observe. Nature is beautiful, and we should pay more attention to and honor the beautiful resources we are given.

That is something that you don’t have to pay for.
